Intuitive tools to help you receive information and guidance on your Soul Mission journey
Using intuitive guidance tools can be useful in helping you contact your Intuitive Intelligence and Soul Messages in support of your journey to uncover your Soul Mission, as a Lightbearer. Whether you are using them on a day-to-day basis, or occasionally. When we are trying to uncover our Soul Mission and remember our purpose, these intuitive tools can be like a compass to help us figure out the next step and identify which direction to follow. The more we use them, the more times we have success with them, and the more confident and trusting we can become in the information coming through (this is as well as listening to our intuitive hints or nudges). These tools can give us faith to live in a more and more intuitive flow - as we learn that they can lead to rich fulfilling experiences. These are some of the tools I have used or still use which may support you:
Pendulum
Using the pendulum was the first method I ever played with to contact my intuitive answers. Pendulums are often crystals on a short chain which sway in response to a yes or no question. The first trick to learn is which direction indicates, yes for you (for example a turn to the right) and which direction indicates no. It just takes a little practice to get used to it and feel confident using it. You can even use a weighted necklace.
One method I used was to mark out the shape of a pie chart with potential answers to a question, for example: ‘days, weeks, months, never’ separate in each section of the pie chart. I would ask the question and hover the pendulum over the central point to see which way it would swing. You have to be open and aware if you are unconsciously trying to influence the movement of the pendulum (as this is possible). We can be ‘willing’ our preference to be the outcome, instead of being open to the true answer. You can get pendulums at your local crystal shop or online.
Muscle testing
More recently, I have replaced using a pendulum with muscle testing as I find this very handy. I love this method for receiving bodycode. Muscle testing is based on the idea that your subconscious can communicate through the relaxation and tension in the muscles in response to a question - Kinesiology. There are two main muscle testing methods that are used; sway testing or interlocking finger locks (however there are more). .
With the interlocking fingers method when you ask a question, then if the muscles go weak and the fingers break apart, you have a no, but if they stay strong and lock together, it's a yes. With sway testing you simply stand, ask the question, and if the answer is no your body will pull back slightly, if it's a yes, your body will push you to lean forwards. Once again, your conscious mind has the ability to interfere with the answers if you're not careful. Just be aware of this. But it is harder for this to happen with sway testing.
I use muscle testing in all sorts of ways; helping me to choose dates for activities in my diary, choosing what to work on that day on my action list, helping me select, which programs or projects I should focus on etc. I use it to help with very practical, day-to-day planning and decisions as it's very useful!
Cards
Oracle cards can be a lovely tool, I like to suggest this to particular clients. For me, they're a lot more accessible than the Tarot as there is nothing to learn to do it - so nice and simple. Although if you're into using cards, this is another excellent method to explore. There are so many different styles of oracle decks these days, many with incredibly beautiful artwork - it can actually feel hard to choose! There are ones with angels, goddesses, nature focussed, spirits, and so on.
I know some people use them every day as a reference point, pulling out a card for guidance. For me, I tend to use them more occasionally when I think of it, and the question comes to mind. You can pull one card or do a spread, and there's always a book inside the box to explain the different methods. Generally, it can feel quite uncanny about what cards we pick as they can be right on point! Again for me, using cards can help me to ground and see the deeper undercurrents of my situation much more clearly which I find is incredibly helpful in order to be able to manage it.
Books
This method is fun and playful, and I used to do this as a child all the time. It's very simple, place a question in your mind and stand by your bookshelf and see which book you are drawn to. Now pick up the book and open it to a page at random and notice what word or sentence your eye falls on . Once again, it can be quite uncanny what happens. But just be playful with it.
It's a method where we can naturally receive guidance as well. For example, we go to a café and sit down, and you look down at the table where a magazine is spread open - it just so happens to be on a title of a topic you've just been reflecting or wanting direction on. Or you go to a bookstore when you are mulling over a problem you feel sad about and you are drawn to a book, you open it and, read a random paragraph. You realise this has given you words of comfort which soften your heart and tell you exactly what you needed to hear. None of this is random.
Creativity
Sometimes, if we feel emotionally or mentally depleted, creativity can be a wonderful method to unblock us and help us to listen to our intuitive guidance. You don't need to think of yourself as ‘creative’ to do this, just a willingness to allow your conscious mind to have a rest, opening up to play and flow. You might try rapid mark making (just making marks with a pen or pencil on paper), or collage, or automatic writing (where you just put down on you chosen medium the thoughts or emotions which you find are naturally flowing through you at that particular moment), or if you're musical play an instrument. Being creative is particular to you, if this keeps coming up as an urge this is a message for you to do it!
So why do it? Creativity is the language of the right hemisphere of the brain, which is the doorway to our intuition. Also our emotional states cannot always be expressed in words and the use of images or sounds can be a way to release ourselves. Helping us to gain clarity, realisations, perspective and insights on our way forward which we would otherwise have struggled to achieve.
Dream messages
Keeping a dream diary to record your dreams is a good practice as it helps to set a firm intention to remember your dreams. But why are dreams important? Because we can begin to pose questions to our subconscious mind, and receive answers in the dream state, as this is the realm of the subconscious. What is helpful to achieve this is to become more lucid in the dream state but as long as you are remembering your dreams, you will still receive the messages.
One of the best methods for remembering dreams (which I have personally found helpful) is a short meditation practice. The more I still my mind, the more open and clear my awareness becomes, which transfers into the dream realm. You can then ask a question before you fall asleep and receive the answer in your dream state - then write down the messages you received the next morning when you wake.
Glass of water technique
The Silva Method teaches the glass of water technique which is fun to play with and is another way to contact the knowledge in your mind to find out an answer to a question that you may have. Before you go to bed, have a glass of water and hold it up in front of you. Then you think of a current problem whilst holding the glass at an angle above your head and you say ‘This is all I need to do to find a solution to the problem I have in mind’.
Then you drink half of the water before you go to bed and drink the other half when you wake up. Then you should find an idea or solution either comes to you upon waking, or you receive a message triggering an idea, or a solution presents itself within 72 hours. The idea being that information comes through energy and frequency and flows through water. You can watch a short video on the technique here
Play
I would suggest that you just have a play with some of these different tools I've suggested and there will be many more out there you could explore. It’s very much about what works for you and you may even have some of your own methods that you use to get in touch with your intuitive intelligence. We simply want to find methods where intuitive information and knowledge can flow to us with greater ease and help us on our journey supporting us to live more intuitively to fulfill our purpose.
