You and me
Are we a fit?
Here you will find my point of view on what I believe the best therapeutic approach is for a highly sensitive person to achieve real breakthroughs in their experience of chronic anxiety. This also includes the methods we use to develop healthy interpersonal boundaries together with an overview of how I work my sessions - hopefully this will help you to assess if you feel like I might be a good fit for you.
Subconscious mind is the key
If you want real change to your emotional triggers and mental state of mind you need to work with the subconscious mind, as it is in the driving seat of our emotional, mental and physical reactions 93% of the time, with the conscious mind affecting only 7%. This is why it can feel impossible to create truly significant or lasting change when working only with the conscious mind. We want to be communicating with the master of your mind and storehouse of your experiences to create change. In my sessions we do this through Intuitive Healing.
Body and mind are connected
A bridge to your subconscious mind is your body as the mind and emotions (including habitual patterns) express themselves through physical reactions and as well as your past memories. This is why we listen closely to the physical responses in sessions, bridging the gap between somatic practices and talk therapy to work with and release unprocessed emotional experiences from the past to free you emotionally and mentally in the present. How I work
“It's a powerful and beautiful offering you share. Thank you so much.” Rachel
Embodied and intuitive approach
I take an embodied and intuitive approach to my work. With my intuitive somatic sensitivity as an empath, I not only listen to your words but also sense your embodied experience during the session which I feedback to you - the physical holding I’m picking up, the emotions, the thoughts coming into my head and images I can see in my mind.
This approach enables us to go deeper, addressing what is authentically present whilst Tapping enabling a process of deep release and healing to unfold. I can sometimes even help clients find the words to describe what feels out of reach or nameless. This enables you to truly let go of what is still present in your subconscious from the past to heal the present. This way of working also aids the development of your own somatic self awareness and intuition.
Direct, deep and transformative
The work I do can feel powerful. I work in a direct and deep way with your experience. My aim is for you not only to understand your issues but to transform and free yourself from negative emotional and mental states. To do this we can recall past events or relationships whilst Tapping to release unprocessed sensations, emotions or thoughts in the subconscious which doesn'talways feel comfortable in the moment but is a great relief after as it's released (not just remembered).
We do this safely, respectfully and with kindness. This then creates more internal spaciousness and a deep release leading to shifts in mental and emotional wellbeing. Sessions can feel strong as this is deep work, but the shifts are also potentially transformative and if you are ready for change it can feel welcome. I aim to help you get to the root issues causing the problems which can lead to significant insights and realisations as well.

About you
Agreeing to work via Zoom
I work with clients willing to dialogue via zoom. The key reason I do this is because I work much more effectively. Due to my own highly sensitive nature I find this physical distance enables me to more accurately and effectively sense what is alive for you whilst not becoming overwhelmed myself, as I can feel your emotions in my own body. Working via zoom isn't everyone’s preference, I understand, but this method enables me to manage my own energy and input so it's important for me to do what works.
Where you’re at
You probably already have a good sense of your issues, you’re self aware and sensitive. You may have already been to counseling or experienced bodywork, along your journey to work on the problems you are experiencing. You may have a good knowledge of holistic practices such as mediation, breathwork, reiki etc as you've tried a few to help you heal. But you keep coming up short in terms of significant or permanent shifts you want in your physical-emotional reactions and thought patterns.
You're keen to find a modality that gives you a bridge between somatic practices and talk therapy, as you sense the answer lies in addressing both. You are ready for change or you really need it. You want to get beyond just the conscious mind and create meaningful shifts in the subconscious. You want to work with someone you can trust and you feel confident in to help you.
